High Performance, Economical & Sustainable Biocomposite Building Materials

What are the biggest barriers to the use of composites in construction and what progress is being made?

CompIC-Final

BioBuild project partner NetComposites is hosting a conference, which will take place on 3rd February, 2015 at The Park Hotel, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, which will look at the current and future use of composites in construction and the benefits they provide to the construction industry. With attendees already signed up from across the supply chain, the event looks set to provide a good opportunity for networking, education and discussion.

Keynotes for the day will be provided by David Kendall of Optima Projects who will discuss “Evolution or Revolution of Composites in Construction” and Mark Hobbs of Gurit who will look at “Overcoming the Challenges of Using FRP in Large Architectural Structures.” The day will focus on Materials and Design, Testing and Norms, Case Studies, and will close with a Panel Discussion. Confirmed speakers are from Arup, Royal Haskoning, Fiberline Composites, Strongwell, SP Technical Research Institute, Nord Composites, Jacobs, J Murphy & Sons, Atkins and Airex.
