High Performance, Economical & Sustainable Biocomposite Building Materials

You are invited to the Industrial Interest Group Meeting on 11 December at the National Civil Engineering Laboratory in Lisbon

The aim of the BioBuild project is to use biocomposite materials to reduce the embodied energy in building facade, supporting structure and internal partition systems by at least 50% over current materials with no loss in performance and no increase in overall cost.

This will be the first meeting of the BioBuild Industrial Interest Group. This group will be kept informed about the progress of the project and will be able to steer the project such that it can generate outputs which are relevant to the construction industry.

This meeting will give delegates the opportunity to meet the people involved with the project and learn about the work being done. The meeting is being hosted by the National Civil Engineering Laboratory in Lisbon and there will be an extensive tour of their test facilities. Please note that the site is large and the tour will include buildings at opposite ends of the campus.
